Mas Montel / Mas Granier is a winery in the Languedoc region in the south of France. The history of winemaking started when the property was bought by Marcel Granier in 1945. Today it is his sons Dominique and Jean-Philippe who run the estate.
The vineyard extends of 40 hectares in the far-away country side of the Languedoc. It is surrounded by the typical garrigue vegetation, with wild herbs making it a fragrant landscape. The grape varieties that are planted in the vineyards are mainly, but not exclusively the traditional Languedoc grapes: grenache, syrah, mourvedre, with some merlot cinsault and carignan for the red and rose wines, and muscat and chardonnay for the white wines.
